Pain au Levain (naturally leavened sourdough) - Ventura

This is one of our favorite courses. This class will teach each participant the chemistry and baking processes behind our naturally leavened sourdough. Our head baker Jarrett will explain how to make your own levain (starter), the natural process of slow fermentation, and how to maintain your own sourdough culture at home. Jarrett will also go into detail and answer questions about the techniques that Cafe Ficelle uses to maintain our incredible sourdough culture. Wine, cheese and charcuterie will be provided. Participants will be given their own levain to take home as well as a copy of instructions from the course.
This class will be held at our Ventura location at 390 S Mills Rd.
Please note: Participants must be 16 years of age or older*
BOOKING AND CANCELLATION POLICY:
Class must be cancelled 48 hours prior to class start time in order to receive full refund to your credit card or reschedule the class to a different date.
For parties of 4+ please do so 72 hours prior to the class start time.
For any cancellation received with less than 48 hours notice, we will not be able to issue a full or partial refund *. Guests will be able to reschedule a new class to attend by contacting firstname.lastname@example.org for a discounted 50% price.
If we are forced to cancel an event due to weather or other events outside of our control, Cafe Ficelle will offer guests credit for another class.
